Envirocleanse, owned by Charter Brockerage, a Berkshire Hathaway company, has developed the ‘inTank’ Ballast Water Treatment solution. This USCG, IMO Type approved BWTS aims to prevent the transfer of harmful marine organisms via a ship’s ballast water.

Utilizing patented nozzles inside a vessel’s ballast tanks and a hypochlorite generator, the ‘inTank’ BWTS is the most dynamic, advanced and sustainable system on the market. Aitken Marine International are the official agent for Envirocleanse in the Middle East/GCC Region.

We can offer the option of two ‘in tank’ systems. One Electrochlorination and the other Bulk Chemical injection.

Envirocleanse inTank Ballast Water Treatment Systems

Overview

The ‘inTank’ BWTS, suitable for high ballast dependent vessels, treat’s ballast in the ballast tank, during the voyage, by either generating sodium hypochlorite using only clean seawater and electricity -or- utilizing bulk liquid chemical. The inTank BWTS doses a small portion of ballast water with concentrated sodium hypochlorite and returns it to the ballast tank. This is all accomplished without the use of a filter.
